The Nanaimo District participated in the Mystery Red Envelopes of Kindness initiative by distributing over 40 red envelopes filled with stickers, snacks, and holiday treats to people who completed acts of kindness that included: emptying the recycling bins in every classroom, cleaning up the school, hosting a garbage clean-up in a local park, taking care of the school garden, being supportive of each other during exam season, holding the door open for students in the morning, helping stack extra chairs in classrooms, and volunteering to do chores around the house.
