The Toronto district collaborated with another youth non-profit organization called Beaver With You to locate three elders in need during the Christmas holidays as a part of the Adopt-A-Family Project. They then bought over $230 worth of groceries and presents for the elders, including fresh vegetables, a voice recorder, and an e-photo album, using fundraised money and personally visited each elder to deliver these gifts along with hand-made holiday cards. Each elder wrote a thank-you letter back to Adopt Our Community to express their gratitude. Toronto members are glad to have made a positive impact on their communities this Christmas!
