The Vancouver District took part in the Mystery Red Envelopes of Kindness initiative by distributing 40 red envelopes filled with delicious treats to people who participated in acts of kindness that included: picking up litter on the streets, helping teachers carry textbooks, holding doors open for the elderly and fellow students, shovelling snow on sidewalks, helping classmates with difficult subjects, complimenting strangers, voluntarily washing the dishes at home, and actively helping teachers hand out materials in class.
